Telecommunications
Attorneys from QIL Abogados have assisted national and multinational telecommunications companies which have acquired and exploited the radio-electric spectrum. They have also participated as counsel to prospective bidders in the privatization process of the state owned full service telecommunications entity in 1998, and acted as local counsel to international bank syndicates which have financed telecommunications investments in Guatemala, providing them with an in-depth knowledge of the General Telecommunications Law of 1996 and of its regulating entity, the Superintendence of Telecommunications.
